Recently, China Electric Power Construction Corporation successfully connected the 3.5GW photovoltaic project to the 1.5GW photovoltaic project (Section II) in Midong District, Urumqi City, China Green Power, contributing to the construction of a beautiful Xinjiang. The project is located in the northern desert of Midong District, Urumqi City, covering an area of approximately 200000 acres with an installed capacity of 3.5 gigawatts. Hebei Engineering Company undertook the construction of 1.5 gigawatts, and the project will construct four 220 kV booster collection stations, each of which will be equipped with a 220 kV transmission line. After the project is completed, it can save about 1.9488 million tons of standard coal annually, reduce 6.0717 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 1.6565 million tons of smoke and dust, and 91350 tons of nitrogen oxides. This is of great significance for accelerating the optimization of local energy structure and promoting the construction of the electricity market.
